The Hon Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, has expressed shock over the abduction of over 350 Government Girls’ Secondary School, Jangebe, Talata Mafara, Zamfara State at about 1:40am on Friday 26, February, 2021.

A statement the minister personally signed and made available to FACT-CHECKNEWS.COM, Friday expressed disgust over the renewed drift in which innocent school children are kidnapped.

She noted that the development is a source of concern to any discerning Nigerian in view of the fact that another set of schoolchildren have been abducted in Kagara few days ago.

“I am shocked to the marrow of my bones over the recent abduction of our school children in Zamfara State, coming only a few days to a similar happening in Kagara, Niger State.

” The frequency of this dastardly acts are meant to instill fear in our citizens and undermine our corporate existence.

” Let me, on behalf of our women and children categorically state that we stand by President Muhammadu Buhari’s government in this very trying moment.

” I believe in the capacity of our security operatives to stamp out these isolated terror attacks.

” There is no amount of terrorist instigated fear that can shake or undermine the foundation of our dear country.

” These misguided individuals and their sponsors should do a rethinking and embrace peace.

” I beg the captors of these young girls, to, in the name of the Almighty, release these innocent children.

” I also call on our security operatives to deploy all known skills to rescue our children unharmed.

” To my dear parents, please be calm, I trust that our security forces are on top of the situation,” Tallen said.
