Why we submit N42bn supplementary budget – Gov. Bala Mohammed

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has disclosed that his priority on developmental projects that will impact the lives of all Bauchi citizens made him to initiate and submit N42 billion supplementary budget.

Recall that the governor has last week submitted the supplementary before the state house of assembly for endorsement.

A statement by the governor’s special assistant new media, Lawal Muazu Bauchi, made available to FACT-CHECKNEWS.COM Sunday, noted that the development has made the governor the only state executive to initiate supplementary budget in the year 2020 with the intent to impact the lives of the citizenry.

” The governor initiated the budget with much priority on developmental projects to be awarded and will commence before the end of this year.

” The roads project captured in the over N42 billion supplementary budget under the proposed Bauchi Urban Renewal Project, is part of the desire of the administration of Kauran Bauchi to modernize Bauchi State.

” The proposed road projects are; Adamu Jumba Road expansion, dualization of Sam Njoma Road, dualization of ATBU Main Campus to Airforce Base Bauchi, down to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport.

” Others are dualization of Maiduguri Road from Awalah Roundabout to Bauchi State University, Yuli Campus to Rice Mill. Dualization of Gombe Road from Bauchi State House of Assembly junction,” he said.

The governor noted that rural roads across the 3 senatorial districts of the state also captured in the supplementary budget include; Itas Gadau Road, Warji to Gwaram, Nasaru to Balma, Soro to Miya, Bogoro to Lusa, Boi to Tapshin, Kirfi to Gombe Abba and Yashi to Yuli.
