A former assistant editor with The Sun newspapers, Kenny Ashaka is dead few days after he lost his wife to the cold hands of death.
Reports say the former assistant editor of died on Wednesday after battling with ill health for a long time.
The deceased joined The Sun in 2003. He headed the North West Bureau until 2008.
He was transferred to Abuja and later to Jos, Plateau State capital, as North Central Bureau Chief.
Ashaka was promoted Assistant Editor and worked at the Lagos head office.
He is survived by three children, Onome, Onoriode and Erezina, and three grandchildren.
“Rest well my friend and brother. You fought a very enviable fight. May God comfort your family”, a friend, Asaju Tunde posted on Facebook.
