Road safety officers wives donate toiletries, beverages to FMC accident victims

Members of the Road Safety Officers Wives Association (ROSOWA), have distributed toiletries and beverages to the accident casualties at the Accident and Emergency Unit of the Federal Medical Centre, FMC Yola, Adamawa state, northeast Nigeria.

Presenting the items Saturday, the group whose Motto is “Safety, Unity and Discipline” said it is part of their annual activities to visit hospitals and commiserate with the accident victims.

The gesture is seen as a great expectation coming at a time the FRSC Adamawa state is counting loses occasioned by the activities of the hoodlums who vandalised the Yola headquarters of FRSC.

While the officers and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) the leading agency in Nigeria on road safety administration and management are shouldered with the responsibility of “making the highways safe for motorists and other road users as well as checking road worthiness of vehicles, recommending works and infrastructures to eliminate or minimise accidents on the highways and educating motorists and members of the public on the importance of road discipline on the highways, the wives of the officers are concerned with the accident victims.

The beneficiaries have jointly thanked the group for the generosity and care.
