Police nab three suspected rapists in Adamawa

Three suspected rapists in Adamawa State are currently cooling their heels at the state police command in Yola following their arrest.

The trio were arrested by the police over alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl in Ganye local government area of the state.

The Command’s image maker, DSP Suleiman Ngruje, said the suspects include 20-year-old Ahmed Suleiman, 22-year-old Muhammad Abubakar and 45-year-old Isa Ibrahim; all residents of Ganye local government area of the state.

He said, the suspects are undergoing investigation and as soon as the investigation is completed, they will be charged to court.

In recent time, the scourge of rape has become a major source of concern following the exponential rise of the crime forcing some CSOs and other stakeholders to stage peaceful protest to demand prosecution of persons involved in the dastardly act.
