The Nigerian Pilot, a national newspaper has conferred on governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State the best community and rural development 2020 award.
A statement by the governor’s press secretary, Humwhashi Wonosikou said while presenting the nomination letter to the Governor in Abuja on Wednesday, the Director Publications of the newspaper, Chuks Ohuegbe pointed out that Governor Fintiri’s consideration is based on his giant strides in infrastructure development despite the security challenges in the region.
According to Mr Ohuegbe, “Governor Fintiri’s Rural Mobility Access Roads project RAMP 2 is adjudged as the best performing in Nigeria which informed the choice, describing it as a critical factor in the administration’s development agenda for the State.”
While accepting the award, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri thanked the Editorial team for finding him worthy, noting that he was elected to work for the people and would not relent in meeting the peoples needs.
Fintiri noted that the award will spur him to do more towards fulfilling the administrations 11 Point Agenda.
The Award ceremony is billed for April ending in Abuja.
