Aggrieved youth of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lamurde local government of Adamawa State have disclosed working against the party in the last councillorship polls in order to teach some errant stakeholders in the area bitter political lessons.
The youth who tendered their apology to the governor over the sad development noted that it is the only way left for them to register their grievance against the haughtiness of such recalcitrant leaders.
Lamurde ward in which the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) defeated PDP in the last councillorship election is the home of the incumbent deputy governor of Adamawa State, Seth Crowther.
In a statement replete with innuendos and conjectures, the youths urged governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to constitute a committee to unravel the mystery behind PDP’s defeat.
They attributed the defeat of the party to internal wrangling among the major stakeholders in the area, stating that if the stakeholders have put their house in order, they would not have suffered such a defeat.
Spokesman of the youth Kurdiyale Makanto said despite the defeat of the party, PDP was in full control of Lamurde promising to deliver the party in future elections.
Some of the their complaints against the stakeholders include non conduct of monthly stakeholders meeting as directed by the governor and general lacl of concern of the stakeholders towards the welfare of the people.
They however, commended Governor Fintiri for allocating some developmental projects to the area particularly the cottage hospital and other social amenities.
