Insecurity: Adamawa CP urges police to enforce ban on tricycles

Adamawa State commissioner of police, Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, has ordered all divisional police officers and their supervising area commanders in the three local government areas affected by the recent ban on motorcycles to carry out full enforcement of the ban.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has on Monday imposed a ban on motorcycles and tricycles in Girei, Yola North and Yola south local governments to curtail spate of insecurity in the affected communities.

The commissioner of police gave the order to ensure full enforcement of the regulations and general restriction.

The CP, while noting that the non compliance will continue posing threat to the Peace and Security in the state and the Citizens calls on citizens to voluntarily comply with the provisions of the Regulations for the safety of all.

The CP further cautions officers enforcing the regulations to show tact, compassion and empathy with the citizens. He reiterates that the officers must be firm and professional and at the same time remain polite, civil and respect the fundamental rights of the citizens.
