Hon. Abdulrazaak Namdas, a member of the House of Representatives has described the sudden death of Ibrahim Abdulaziz as a great loss to not only the journalism profession but the state and the nation at large.
Late Abdulaziz, a versatile journalist lost his life in an auto crash along Gombe-Bauchi road on Friday 5th February 2021.
Namdas who worked with late Abdulaziz as a correspondent in Adamawa state before joining politics described the death as sad and unfortunate incident that cannot be forgotten in a hurry.
” I’ve worked with Ibrahim Abdulaziz as a correspondent in the state and we were very close before I joined politics, so the news of his death hit me hard. I’m still in shock hearing that such a promising, hardworking, and courageous young journalist’s life was cut short in an auto crash,” Namdas said.
While condoling the deceased family, the Nigerian Union of Journalists, and the entire state, the lawmaker prays for God to grant him eternal rest.
Late Abdulaziz was the state correspondent of the Voice of America Hausa Service and Premium Times. He had also worked with Daily Trust, FRCN Fombina Radio, Gotel Communications and he was the publisher of Adamawa Times and Voice of Arewa online platforms.
