Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state, has paid a commiseration visit to Bababa Shopping Complex which was razed down by inferno.
Governor Bala promised government’s support to the victims to continue with their businesses and for the rehabilitation of the market.
The Governor said his administration will improve the capacity of the State Fire Service for better performance and for timely interventions.

Special Assistant New Media to Governor Bala Mohammed quoted the governor as saying that the inciden is a clarion call on his administration to equip Bauchi Fire Service with the right working tools.
” Bauchi State Government will strengthen the capacity of firefighters in the state for effective service delivery to the people.
“I regret all inconveniences and the lost that occurred here and it has come as a wake up call to us as government.
“The Fire Service is not working in tandem with my vision for a new Bauchi State and I want to assure you that we will take proactive measures to overcome the challenges,” the Governor said.
Governor Bala expressed shock at the degree of damage the inferno caused pledging that the state government will take the engineering estimate of the affected building for immediate reconstruction.
He said that traders affected will be the first batch of beneficiaries to benefit from the state government’s plans for business persons in the state calling on all spirited individuals to support the victims.
Alhaji Nasiru Bababa, owner of the franchise, expressed confidence on the commitment of Bauchi State Government to support the victims to enable them restore their businesses.
