Air Vice Marshall (AVM), Bala Bagare has been formally conferred with the traditional title of ‘Kauran Fika’ emirate council, on Sunday.
Speaking during the occasion, the Chairman, Yobe State Council of Chiefs and Emir of Fika, Dr Muhammad Abali Ibn Muhammedu Idrissa, said, Bagare deserved the honor because of his contributions to the welfare of the less privileged and the entire emirate council.
The Emir who was represented by Air Commodore Alhaji Ibrahim Alkali (Retd), the Galadima of Fika said; “You have done a lot for the emirate, considering your contributions and commitment for the development of the emirate.
“This is why my emirate decided to honor you as Kauran Fika”, he said.
The emir charged the new traditional titleholder to discharge his responsibility diligently.
In his acceptance message, Bagare thanked the emir for finding him worthy to appointed as Kauran Fika. He promised to be a good ambassador of the emirate council adding that he will discharge his responsibility diligently.
Our correspondent reports that dignitaries from every nook and cranny of Nigeria graced the occasion.
Some of Bagare’s associates who spoke to our correspondent, described him as a man of integrity, humility and vision with capacity to bring critical changes.
They commended the emirate for the appointment, adding that Bagare, being an Air Force officer would contribute a lot as the Kauran Fika and would stand up for the good people of the emirate.
