Leader of the reformed People’s Democratic Party, (r-PDP), a splinter of the PDP in Adamawa State, Dr. Umar Ardo, has expressed shock over the death of Sardaunan Batta, Chief Medan Teneke.
In a statement he personally signed and forwarded to FACT-CHECKNEWS.COM, Ardo said, “it is with a deep sense of shock and a heart full of sorrow that l received the sad news of the death of Chief Medan Teneke, the Sardaunan Batta.
” Chief Teneke was a patriot and true lover of democracy whose political views were all encompassing, devoid of ethnic and religious considerations. He died at a trying time when he is most needed in the noble struggle to attain good leadership to salvage the people of Adamawa state from the debilitating illness of corruption, dishonesty and incapacity. He will be most missed.
“On behalf of myself, members of my family and associates, I most sincerely condole his wife, family members, HRM the Hamman Batta, the entire people of Batta kingdom and all his friends and political associates. I pray to God Almighty to give us all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of our dear prince. May His Gentle Soul Rest in Perfect Peace. Amen.”
