The Chairman Muslim’s Council of Adamawa State, Mallam Gambo Jika, has counselled the leadership of the 21 councils in the state to discharge their duties with the fear of Allah.
Jika who made the plea during the inauguration of the council exco of Toungo, Ganye and Mayo-Belwa Local Governments also enjoined them to bring on board all Islamic organizations in their respective areas.
Represented by the Publicity Secretary of the council Mallam Abdullahi Ibn Hamman, the chairman appreciated the Adamawa State Governmemt under the able leadership of his Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, his Royal Highness, Lamido Adamawa Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa and all other emirs for the corporation and support they have been rendering to the majlis from inception to date and urged them to maintain the tempo.
He further reminded the new exco to work hard towards ensuring growth and the development of the council in the State.
Ennumerating the activity of the council in next three years, Mallam Gambo said the council has come on board with the zeal of change for the better, by establishing ICT Center and powerful NGO that will provide humanitarian services to the needy and strengthening of Zakat and endowment Committee with a view to enhance the economic status of less privilege.
In their acceptance remarks the sworn in chairmen pledged to collaborate with all the Islamic organizations across the state for the success of the council and further appeal for support and cooperation from members to achieve their goals.
In his remarks the Vice Chairman I of the majlis, Modibbo Ali Wuro Yombe, expressed happiness and advised Muslims Ummah to intensify act of worship and prayers during this holy Month of Ramadan.
