An Abuja federal high court presided by Justice Taiwo O. Taiwo has granted an interim injunction barring Aura Energy Ltd from selling its 50 percent stake in Jos electricity distribution company to Highland Disco Acquisition Ltd pending the hearing of the substantive suit.

The plaintiffs, Massanawa Enterprises Company Ltd and MBS merchants who filed the suit against Aura Energy Ltd and six others sought for six reliefs.

Justice Taiwo who refused to grant the first relief of barring Aura Nigeria Ltd from holding its annual general meeting however granted the other reliefs barring the Defendants/Respondents from
jointly and severally either by themselves or their agents from selling, leasing or transferring the 50% shares of Aura Energy Limited in Jos Electricity
Distribution Company to Higland Disco Acquisition Limited

Taiwo then adjourned the hearing to two weeks after 14 July, 2020 which is the date he granted the interim order.
