Adamawa State Government has imposed another round of total lockdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19 which has berthed in the state.
The government said though painful, the decision became imperative to stem the spread of the disease after a Kano returnee was confirmed positive.
The lockdown according to a statement by the Director General, Media and Communications to governor Fintiri, Solomon Kumangar will start from midnight of April 24, 2020 and end midnight of May 8, 2020.
The statement noted that essential service providers like journalists, health workers, etc will on verifiable duty are exempted.
The statement added that the government has set up a mobile court to try violators of the order in line with the executive order put in place by the governor.
