Angry residents boo Buhari as he pays  condolence visit on Maiduguri

President Muhammadu Buhari was today booed by some angry residents upon his arrival to condole the people of Borno State following Sunday’s gruesome massacre of some tranded travellers at Auno village near Maidugurii.
In recent times the approval rating of the Buhari led administration has drastically plummeted following worsening insecurity including heightened Boko Haram resurgence, armed banditry and kidnapping.
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Northern Elders Forum and many other Nigerians have expressed reservations over the deteriorating insecurity calling for the ought right and unconditional sack of the security chiefs in the country.
The clamour for swift action against insecurity heightened after Boko Haram killed about 30 stranded travellers who were blocked by soldiers from accessing Maiduguri while the president was in Ethiopia.
Today’s belligerence was believed to be a fallout of the worsening insecurity as Nigerians in their dozens are being killed maimed or kidnapped on daily basis.
In a video clip sighted by our correspondent a group of irate youths were seen yelling at the president’s convoy in angry refrain with shouts of “Bama so, Bama yi” meaning we don’t like the government.
A tweet by Garba Shehu, Buhari’s Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity revealed that the President landed at 12:45pm.
