Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA), has presented three trucks of palliatives to the two communities of Bolki and Gon in Numan local government that were attacked by gunmen recently.
The items include two hundred bags of par boiled rice, two hundred bags of cornflour, forty jerrican of groundnut oil, cartons of spaghetti, one hundred bags of cement, fifty bundle of roofing sheet and two hundred plastic buckets and others.
Presenting the item, the Executive Secretary of ADSEMA Doctor Muhammad Amin Suleman represented by Mr Simon Frank said the palliatives were provided by the state government to victims of the attack in the two communities.
Doctor Suleiman added that the items will go a long way in cushioning the hardships of the victims and called on the stakeholders in the community to ensure judicious distribution of the palliatives to the target beneficiaries in the areas.
In his remark after receiving the items on behalf of the two communities, the Sole Administrator Vulpi Development Area, Mr Geoffrey Alhassan thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and Deputy Governor Chief Crowther Seth for assisting the communities in their trying moment.
Contributing, the Village Head of Bolki, Chief Kusama Eric Shaba and that of Gon, Mr Kpana Benedict Medan revealed that it is the first time they received such palliatives after the areas witnessed six different attacks by gunmen.
They called on the state government to strengthen security surveillance in the areas to prevent reoccurrence of such an incidence so as to enable them go to their farms and other lawful businesses.
