The Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese and the State CAN Chairman, Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza has urged Christians to pray fervently for Nigeria during the Lenten season.

Bishop Mamza said the prayers became pertinent in view of the spiralling insecurity bedeviling the country.

He charged the body of Christ to have a chain prayers that can salvage the nation from the current situation.

The Bishop also advised Christians to use the period in order to help the less privileged in the society.

The CAN Chairman however disclosed that this year’s Lenten season is unique, hence the need for Adamawa Christians to continue to work together for the peace and progress of Adamawa and Nigeria in general.

Bishop Mamza assured Adamawa Christians that under his leadership as CAN Chairman, he will do everything possible to better their lot adding that he will institute policies and programmes that will be of paramount importance to the body of Christ in the State.
