Adamawa assembly constitutes 25 fresh house standing committees

Following the dissolution of all standing committees a fortnight ago, the Adamawa state House of Assembly has on Monday constitute 25 new house standing committees.

Presiding the plenary, Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, said the committees include; Selection Committee, to be headed by the speaker himself; Rules, Business, Ethics and Privileges, to be headed by Hon. Hammantukur Yettisuri (Jada Mbulo); Public Accounts, to be headed by Hon. Muhammed Mutawali (Girei); House Services, to be headed by Hon. Isa Yahaya (Maiha); and Public Petition, Public Service and Electoral Matters, to be headed by Hon. Adwawa Donglock.

Others are; Agriculture, to be headed by Hon. Simon Isa, (Song); State Security, Border Integration and SDG’s, to be headed by Hon. Ibrahim Musa (Mayo Belwa); Finance, Appropriation and Budget, to be headed by Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno (Demsa); Youths, Sports, Culture and Tourism, to be headed by Abdullahi Ahmadu, Leko Koma); Education, Tertiary and Professional Institutions, to be headed by Hon. Wesley Bathiya (Hong); Transport, Rural Infrastructure and Community Development, to be headed by Abdullahi Umar (Toungo); Environment and Natural Resources Development, to be headed by Rt. Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa (Yola South).

Others are; Commerce and Industries, to be headed by Hon. Musa Umar Bororo (Mubi South); Health and Human Services, to be headed by Hon. Hamidu Sajo Lekki (Yola North); Housing and Urban Development, to be headed by Hon. Abubakar Isa (Shelleng); Information, Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration and POWECO, to be headed by Hon. Japheth Kefas (Gombi); Interparliamentary Affairs, Labour and Productivity, to be headed by Hon. Abdullahi Umar Yapak (Verre); Judiciary and Entrepreneurship Development, to be headed by Rt. Hon. Pwamwakaino Mackondo (Numan) and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, to be headed by Hon. Umar Nashon Gubi (Nasarawo Binyeri).

Others are; Livestock and Aqua Cultural Development, to be headed by Hon. Bauna P. Myandassa (Lamurde); State Planning, to be headed by Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada (Michika); Water Resources, to be headed by Hon. Shuaibu Musa (Mubi North); Women Affairs and Social Development, to be headed by Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno (Demsa); Works, Energy, Land and Survey, to be headed by Hon. Haruna Jilantikiri (Madagali) and Legislative Compliance, Special Duties, to be headed by Hon. Alhassan Hammanjoda(Ganye).
